Hello~ I am Na Lu. 😃
You can also call me Luna since in Chinese my name is Lu-Na (鲁娜).
A fun fact: My dad chose this name for me because girls in my generation of my family needed to have a name related to the moon and my dad knows that in many cultures, Lu-Na means the moon.
I am now a Los Angeles-based product designer and illustrator,
who is passionate about translating complex user requirements into scalable, sustainable solutions that increase engagement, reduce friction, and maximize user retention.
# IN A NUTSHELL
I shifted into UX design from Marketing and PR because I found myself becoming more passionate about solving problems through visual design.
For over 10 years, I have been working for both tech companies as a product designer and as an account executive and creative manager in marketing agencies. I believe a mindful and detailed design can contribute to effective communication and better user experiences.
I also believe that to be an effective problem solver, it is absolutely crucial to comprehend the bigger picture of how a product fits into a company's goals and strategies.
# WHY UX DESIGN?
UX design, or the user-centered design, can build a bridge between people and technology. I finally found a career that both fulfils my passion and incorporates all my skills.
UX design combines research, psychology, empathy, communication, storytelling, visual design and most importantly -- problem-solving.
